Hello. We have recently purchased a 1973 Dart Swinger. It is a Slant Six car with small 7 1/4" rear end. I am doing a V8 swap and need a larger rear end. Sure Grip is preferred but not required. Just needing whatever I can find at this point. Willing to travel within reasonable distance. Thanks.
 
Got a sure-grip 8.75 rear for abody...$1150...2.76 ratio..pickup in SC
 
Have some ready to go and have some needing assembled...all are in good shape...some sure-grip some single

Thanks! Do you have any sure-grip that you could take less for? I hate saying it like that but the price on the other is more I can pay at this point.
 
If you are going to the 4 1/2", the 8 1/4" axle would be the cheapest and plenty strong for the slant 6. You'll have to get axles for the 8 3/4 if you go that way. Plus the 8 3/4" is much more expensive in the first place.

We are planning a V8 conversion. Only a 318 so yes the 8 1/4" is actually what I'm looking for but really just want I can find and in my price range. I appreciate all the advice from everyone!
 
I have an 8 1/4 from a duster. It is 2.45 open. $150. If you are interested, I'll send you some photos. Looks like I am about 200 miles from you.
