8 1/4 rear sure grip wanted

Looking for a 8 1/4 a-body sure grip. Will considering my trade 8 3/4 a-body rear 741 case and housing, small bolt axles. Only running a six 8 1/4 would do for me. Hamilton Ontario.

Why don,t you just put the 8 3/4 in and start searching for a sure-grip centersection?Talk to your friend that has all the rears and buy one from him,with some 3.55 gears?You could even just run the 1 wheel peeler til you find one.U-joints are easy to swap!

I will second that. Dont trade your A-body 8 3/4 for anything but maybe a dana 60. Just buy a 8 3/4 sure grip. You'll be way happier down the road if you do.

im just guesing but i think he is running a slant six. the 8 1/4 is fine for a slant and it may take more horsepower to spin an 8 3/4.
