Many years ago I brought this 8 3/4 with 4:88 spool sized for a 68 Dart that has been mini tubed with back brace and brackets for wheelie bars in plans to strictly drag. But now plans have changed to a Pro Street Car. I thought I would just change the gears to a 4:30 limited slip Posi. I found that the axles are huge gun drilled and won't fit my 4:30 pig. So this is my Question: Do I buy new axles to fit the housing and pig? Or Do I buy a new Dana 60 with 4:30 posi? If so, What manufactures do I look to for my rear? Need your comments. Ron

In my opinion you are probably better off selling what you have and buy a Strange 60. Or just run the spool on the street...

If your not gonna "break" the 8.75 & it fits in the car, just get the right splined axles and let it eat. I love the Dana, but I can't see spending the coin if you don't need it? Axles from a reputable company will be way cheaper.....just my opinion.
