8 3/4 a-body rear

i got a 8 3/4 rear with a 3:23 open chunk in it. out of a 71 340 duster.
550.00 plus the ride. located 30 minutes from martinsville international speedway in va

What is the measurement between axles...the surface where the wheel studs are?

I have no clue, but it is a stock 71 8.75, for a abody. It is not a cut down b body

stock abody rear is 52 inches backing plate to backing plate hope this helps good luck

This is a good deal, all Abody rear ends will fit all aBodies. I just put a 72 duster 8 3/4 in my 65 Valiant 4 spd, Wayyy more fun to drive. I just got back from a drive and can't stop smiling8)

I'm looking for one thats 57 inches between axle flanges...the outer surface where the wheel studs are.

My backing plates aren't flat. From the rounded portion its 48 inches. From the area where the backing plates bolt to the rear end tubes its 50 inches.
My Dart is a 67.
1000 miles is too far not to know if its what I want.

oh ok, so if it fits, you will drive from arkansas to va to get it? from what everyone says, if you have a 67 dart, it will bolt right up

I'll back off. I've already bought wheels with 3.5 off set so need to find one 57 inches from axle flange to axle flange.

well, you may need one that is cut specifally for your rims
