So I broke the motor in my 66 Barracuda with a 8-1/4 rear I rebuilt but dis like the 2:45 gears so I bought an 8-3/4 abody rear and had a good 3:23 sg to drop in it. The axles are Dr diff big bolts for 2-1/2” x 10 drums. How do I know what actual year my housing is? My 72’ Demon has the breather down the left axle tube further toward the backing plate- factory rear. I want to order the correct appearing SS brake likes since the 8-1/4 ones won’t sit correctly. I’ve got a single weld on brake line clip on the drivers side back side of the tube. I’ve got a weld on brake line clip at about 1oclock on the top of the banjo (looking rear to the front) and a single brake like clamp front and back of the tube passenger side. Any ideas? Not a cut down housing. Factory welds. thanks- Joe

The brass block location moved off the banjo radius to the tube for the 1970 model year.
