The question of the hour???? 741,742,489 housing, are they all the same and the bearing races determine pinion diam. ,taper to straight shaft, or are castings diff to accept different races and bearings and pinions etc ??? friendly bet involved lol

Carrier bearings are same OD for the race.

The pinion races OD's have differences between the cases. One of the inners for one case 741 is the outer for another 742.
