8 3/4 Housing looks bent

I got an 8 3/4 housing that the tube on one side looks bent in. Now if I measure the housing flanges on each side with a straight edge on each one, and make measurements at four different locations on the flanges. This should tell if is straight and just a tube bent, sound right?
Maybe from the factory like this.

How bent?Here,s my bent 8 3/4.I,ve gone to a new Dana 60 now,35 spline axels.

I would think that if you have good straight edges (new pieces of flat bar don't count) and you use a tape measure that's calibrated in millimeters (easier to be precise since there are 25.4 units per inch vs. 16 units SAE) you should be able to tell if it's bent.

They can be straightened so it's not the end of that housing
