I need to set the pinion bearing preload. What do I torque the nut to initially to measure the drag with an inch pound wrench? I thought I read 240lbs somewhere. Is this right? Used bearings 742 case. Thanks

240 is what I just did mine at. 742 new bearings.

when you are checking bearing turning torque , you can go a little less than 240
