For weight saveings I cut my backing plates too much.I need a pair of backing plates for 10 inche drums 2 inches wide.Car went from low 1.50 60 fts to 1.60s cause I cant hold the car at the line above 2500 rpm with a 4000 stall converter. Before I butchered my backing plates I could footbrake to about 3000.11.43 second car.Guzzi Mark

I dont know if they are the same,my thinking is the 2.5 b body ones would not put the shoes where they need to be on my drums.I will do more resurch and I dont need clean,The nastier ugly greasey pair is better cause I get gratifacation getting them nice. One look at my hands and you would understand. Will get back to you when I figure out if they will work.THANK YOU.Mark

If you have A-body axles B-body backing plates won't work because the flange offset isn't right. The extra shoe width is split between the front and back.
