How much power are you throwing at it / engine combo? What times?

around 400 hp i think i have not used my brake yet but i have been told there very agresive.

I run a brake in mine, 580hp small block 416 with 10 inch tires, with no problems, but it is snaky out of the hole, going to put 12.5 tire on it next time out, witch i hope is next year, money and time permits. I run 1/4 mile @ 10.30 @ 130 miles, my best 60 foot is 1.45 on s/s springs. after 200 passes is i broke one tooth off the ring gear.

Do you have stock or billet ring gear cap on yur 8.750 ?

I use a 489 case in stock trim a steel crush collar mark willams steel spool, moser 30 spline axles, large ujoint yoke with moroso ujoint girdles. I have had very good luck with stock housings but i do replace the cap bolts with arp, I pull it out and check it after every 50 pases. use 75w90 syntheic mopar oil and changed every time i pull it out. I used to run a 4 speed with less hp and i broke ring gears, main caps, etc often, everyone told a trans brake is just as hard on parts, but my experence has been, its alot easier than a 4 speed and yes i use a stock large ujoint 1290 driveshaft that came in my 72 340 duster parts car but i do use only spicer joints. I do not have a back brace on the housing yet thats this winters project (i have been saying that for 4 years now) lol..
