8.8 rear end girddle with stock fuel tank?

is anyone running a rear end girddle on a explorer 8.8 with their factory fuel tank on a a body? I am in the process of putting a 8.8 in my 74 dart sport n got a ta performance low profile rear end girddle. to me it appears it going to be way to close to the factory gas tank was curious if anyone else has tried to run one.:violent1:

I thought I was the only one! What I ended up doing is clearancing in the tank a little with a ball peen and a 2x4 around the spare tire well. Did the trick.

After I was done? An inch. Before it was interference. It wasn't that bad of a job, took maybe 30 mins, take your time, you've got one shot at a pretty tank.
