833 power limit

Hi all, pretty new on here yet. This question has probably been asked a lot, but I'll ask anyway. What kind of horsepower will a 833 4 speed stand up to. My 418 dynoed 497hp, just wondering the approximate limit. The car is a 70' Dart. I've only been to the track once and 2 weeks after I blew all the spider gears out of the rear, a rebuilt 8 3/4. I will be putting in a Dana 60 with the Caltrac rear setup this winter. My 833 trans is completely rebuilt and works great! I was just wondering if that's going to become the next week link and maybe I should consider a Jerico or something else for a trans before I wreck it! Let's hear your thoughts? Thanks for any input.

You might want to talk to Passon's about what improvements you can make to get the 833 to last under high HP conditions. They have all kinds of upgrades and stock parts for them.
