90 degree oil filter adapter oil line questions

1) which location is better for the mechanical gauge lines, the factory sending unit location or coming off of the adapter?

2) I currently have the plastic line but would rather use copper at least up to the firewall and then plastic into the gauge. what size copper tubing would I need?

I have allways used the factory one behind distribter. Never oil filter adapter one. I have also had ti fix others plastic lines. I used one once. Never again

Get yourself a stainless steel line to run to the gauge. It’s flexible compared to the copper line which can break.

Factory allways used the port by the distributor and not by the adapter. Not sure why but they had to warranty the engine. I’d go with by distributor.
