90 Degree Oil Filter Adapter Removal

Is it difficult to swap to the straight style after removing the 90 degree adapter? What is required to make this swap?

the large outside edge gasket
the plate
and the center hollow "nut" with threads on both ends
(one for the block and one for the filter)

It is a one piece gasket with small and large Dia. connected. Looks like a wagon wheel. Later motors are milled even and early are off set. Don't mix them or you be sorry. Easy way to tell is early 4 hole late 5 hole.

Can the plate/adapter be purchased from the local parts store?
