904 Adjustment

How do I adjust my 904 for shift points. It shifts way to early. it is also very hard to get it to kick down.

Yep , Me Too Mine Shifts Too Late, Ive Put A Machine Screw On The Kick Down Lever, And Slid It Both Ways- Still Cant Get It Right??

To make it shift later and more firm you need to adjust the throttle pressure rod at the carb so it gets pushed back farther when your giving it the gas.

73 Dodgeman take that screw out of the linkage. That's probably your problem. It's holding the linkage too far back and not supposed to be there. If it still shifts too late adjust the linkage just the opposite of what I said above.
