I have recently gotten my dart on the road and I am having an issue shifting from 2nd to 3rd. It shifts fine from 1st to 2nd at around 2k rpm when I am driving just cruising around, but I have to take the thing up to 3k+ rpm to shift into 3rd no matter what I do. I do have a Transgo TF-2 installed and a 3,000 stall convertor. Is the convertor causing this? I have adjusted the kick down and it doesn't seem to make any difference other than my shifting from 1st to 2nd.

I can live with it, but I don't want everyone think that I am trying to race them while driving through town. Help please.

i have heard about this happening with alot of 904's i think its in the convertor, not sure though, i would like to hear the solution also,

The 2-3 shift valve may be sticking or the spring is too heavy, if the throttle pressure adjustment screw on the valve body was turned in this will also cause this.
