Is it cracked on the outside corner of the water jacket? Did the pressure test it?
Yep . driver side front corner by the bottom head bolt .
had a spare engine I purchased many years ago , went to switch over from 675 heads to the 920s and replace the cam too from the spare engine I fired it up and she was leaking anti freeze from that corner .

did not see the hair line crack until it started leaking.
we were thinking it had sat outside here in the winter time with water in the system.

antifreeze seeps out from that corner of the head with the engine running. I know the corner end manifold bolts are in the water jacket and the bolts had sealer on them. that's where I first thought it was coming. but know such luck. The head has no other leaks . the gasket is sealed with nothing blowing out the gasket area . No compression leak at all on that cylinder . head rested good on the dowl pin and laid flat to the block .
My buddy is a pro and welding cast iron so we are going to give it a go . have nothing to loose.

Valves are the same size, i pulled these heads off a 273. But the intake bolts are different from stock, unless you plan on running a different intake manifold.
my engine is a 65 273 block , it had 675 heads on it previously and then replaced with 920s. also has a ld340 intake small ports. why does everyone prefer the 302s if they are so much like the 920s? are the 302s closed chamber?

66fs .......... how did you know it leaked from that corner of head ? is that a common problem?

We went through about 3 sets for Bucky for his 67 Formula S. I was never sure if they were cracked or just a casting flaw. I have 2 at home, I'll check them. It will be a couple weeks till I get back home. 302's will work for you, but you will lose 20 cfm on each intake. They also have smog bosses, but on the plus side they have hard exhaust seats. 302's tend to crack between the valve seats.

I'd rather stay with the 920s since my other head is in prefect condition. These 920s heads really ROCK compaired to 675s , big improvement in power.

I have some closed chambered 302's in Chicago with rockers
