I'm selling an A-body 8 1/4" rear end, complete from drum to drum and a Sure-Grip carrier. The gears are one legger 2.94 in the rear end and the same for the Sure-Grip, great highway gears.The perches are 43" to the centers and it's 50" between the backing plates for those that need to know.
The Sure-Grip worked fine when pulled and you can get a different ring and pinion if you want taller gears. Figure on replacing the bearings and at least inspect the clutches before putting it all together, it is used and working fine. I never pulled the drums so I can't tell you the condition of the brakes, assume it needs shoes and cyls.
I'm asking $350/offer, located in Fresno, CA. Prefer you pickup but will ship if you pay $50 for me to strap it on a pallet. I have to buy a pallet, straps and do the work so I'm just covering my time and materials. Thanks!
