Folks..

I have always woundered if you could take the metal part of the dash out of a 67 barracuda and put it in a 1971 Demon, so as to be able to make the Demon accept a Ralley dash cluster. I wounder if its a clean exchange or if you may have to do some cutting and welding. Does anyone know?

The dash housing will bolt right in IF you can get to the bolts onder the windshield gasket. Might be easier to alter the existing cutout to accept a rallye panel. There are other differences like wiring to conquer.

So...it sounds like if I can get to the bolts underneath the windshield gasket on both cars, I can easily remove the dash out of the barracuda and put it in the demon without cutting or welding metal. Right??

I'm almost sure ( 98%) they interchange.
Pic is a 67 Barracuda dash house. Do I need to measure it ?

Structurally, it will work, but some things are different through the years. '67 didn't have a hazard switch, but '71 was on the column, so that's not a problem. The ignition is in the dash in '67, and column '71. As mentioned before, wiring is different.
