I have a question. what year did they stop putting rally dashes in a- bodies?
A-body ralley dash

Demon340 and Duster340 were the ones that got the Rallye dash.
72 340 cars got the std dash package

thanks for the info. i have a ralley dash in my 72 duster,so someone must have added that.

Do you notice anything with the VIN plate since the steel frame would have been changed too?

4 door no more
68 Four door Valiants had them too, they ran out of normal ones, so they added ralley dashes no charge.
With a lot of patience and care (And good Tin Snips) you can modify the 1972 and up Standard dashes pretty easily. I did this on my '72 Dart.
BUT BEWARE!! The pinout on the Main Cluster connector IS DIFFERENT!!!!
I had to remove 3 of the pins and relocate them to make the Standard Dash connecter work on the Rallye Dash pins.
You also need to get an Oil Pressure Sender for Gauge, The Idiot Light Sender will not work.
I do have this remap drawn out if anyone needs it.
