Hey, does anyone know if there is any difference between an a/c firewall and a non a/c firewall for 63 or 64 Dart? Thanks

I can tell you from the 64 Valiant side is there is no difference between ac and non ac firewalls. The ac units are not intergrated into the heater. They are under dash condesor units with the high and low pressure lines passing through the firewall. 2 holes and there is a indention the firewall to pilot the holes.

The '63 and early '64 firewalls are the same on the Dart and Valiant. The firewall was changed midway through the '64 model year due to the introduction of the V8.

The early firewall protrudes into the engine compartment. The later firewall is flat to accommodate the V8 rear-mounted distributor.

The early firewall is set up for rod actuated carburetors; the later one for either rod or cable actuation. Rod was used for slant sixes without factory air; cable was used for factory air or any V8.

I owned a 64 Barracuda with a 273 V8 in 1970. It had factory air.

About 2 years later I acquired a 65 Formula S with the same factory air setup.

Sold both cars by the late 70s.
