"This guy" is Peter Egan, a well known automotive journalist. And that article on the 8 stages of restoration is priceless! Even my wife "got it" as she endured along with me on my 3 yr. restoration. Thanks for posting this. Great find!

And yes, I too prayed for the meteor strike on my garage at one time....
 
IMHO Peter Egan is one of the finest automotive writers to walk the earth. He also used to write for Cycle magazine before it's demise and now writes for Cycle World. Here's an example "A Tale of Two Nortons":

I've been reading his articles since I was a teenager and his articles have had a big influence on my own writing style.
