A Demon with Duster Tail Lights?

I was driving along, going to the grocery store when a guy pulled up next to me in a demon! Wish that happened more often! I asked him if he could pull over and if I could talk to him about his car. He said sure. While i was talking to him I noticed it had 70-71 duster tailights. When I asked him if it was a clone, he said its a real demon and showed me the vin. It was! He said he never modified the tail lights they were always like that. Have you guys ever heard of anything like that? Would it be a car that was used to show off a new model in dealerships? Sorry I couldn't get a picture because I dropped my phone a couple days ago and the camera broke. ):

It's not a clone because I looked up the vin and it has an L like a Demon would have in it's vin. Dusters had a V, I think.

either someone swapped the tail panel or someone swapped the front clip and vin tag

maybe someone in the factory was mad that Dodge stole the 'sharktooth' tail lights that the Duster was supposed to get and swapped the wrong tail panel in

I think demon tail lights on a duster with a shark tooth grill would be cool...if had project duster I would consider doing it.

I was going to do that but the more I thought about it, people would call it a demon instead of the duster it really is.

That's what I've always wanted to do ! I love the Demon Tail lights, and the Shark tooth grill !!! Maybe some day now that I sold my Dart !!

Any chance it was Canadian? any of our folks from far North know? Mopar Canadian Valiants were Darts in mid 1960s????
