How/where did Plymouth come up with the name and what is it supposed to mimic?

Did the 340 model ever come from the factory w/hood sccop/s?

How much weight savings come from using glass bumpers and alum brackets over the steel?

How much weight savings come from using a non hinged glass hood over the steel hood & hinges?

Thanks, saw your Carlisle post- guess you got there early. I've been twice- 3 yrs ago it was 104 and I said not again until they have it in fall- which is unlikely. We talked years ago when I had Ebodies...........glad to see you are still in the hobby. I have a nice '69 AMX in FL and got the '72 Duster yesterday here in NC. George Penick Tallahassee FL/NC too
 
I remember you Nick. I finally moved to PA, I am about 10 minutes from Carlisle now.

So if I miss a show at this point, someone may as well come over & put me down for good. ;-)

I cant see your profile, but I did check follow. Are you still into the Ebody? Were you in Alaska temporarily? Are you from PA originally? Glad you are so close, hope you s top by the MML tent on the hill, they have a nice group, getting older, but still coming! George

I'm not sure on steel hood weight but some manufacturers list there hoods weight. Hinged and lift off weight differences are a couple of pounds while the steel vs fiberglass is a good bit more.
Same with bumpers.

In 1973 340 dusters, you could get a TWISTER it came with two small scoops. The same scoops that came on the 69 CUDA s. The hood was all black but the center.

Cant believe you stayed that long! I've lived in NORTH FL for 40 yrs and decided 9 yrs ago that the grueling summer heat is just too much, glad you made the change- how do you like it in PA....rural or city?
