A little grind when going into park

Ok gang, been working my butt off in the garage to get my valiant on the road. I put a new
B&M Z gate shifter in, Adjusted to instructions. Trans shifts in and out of gear fine ( the car is in the air) but when I go to hit park it grinds as it is going in. If anyone has had this issue, and or remedy, let me know. Its hell getting to the shift lever.

That's what stopping the wheels with the brakes when it's in the air and before you slap it in park is good for.

You know what's funny. I was going to reply with, "Make sure the wheels aren't spinning when going into park" as a bit of a joke, but LOL it turned out that was really it.
