a little wiring help

i have a 71 duster and i have been working on it for a while now, and i still cant figure out what to do with a few wires. first off there are a black and red thick wires coming out of the hi/low beam foot switch and i dont know what they are supposed to connect to.also coming out of the same area there is a long red fusable link and i dont know where to connect that either. i have pictures if somone needs them. and the switch still works....im confused
