a mounting question

I don't remember how the mount bolts to the block and the manual isn't any help ...but it will make a difference of about an inch in engine location. look at the pics below and tell me which is correct I think it is like the behind pic ?

ha i had the same problem in my car when i went to put the motor back in it, perhaps this should be a tech artical

actually the motor sits in the engine bay straighter with the right mount behind the cast boss and the left one in front of the cast boss but I know its not suppose to be that way (the headers clear better too) But until I get everything hooked up and the trans mounted I am not going to experiment with it ....LOL

If it were me...I'm sure the way "I" would pic would be the wrong one! even with help.."Murphy's Law":toothy10:
BTW, Both my motors mount brackets are like your top pic. Doing differently you could have problems with your trans mounts or even getting your fingers in to doing up them bloody motor to trans bolts. I live for that extra 1/2 inch.
