a paint question for a 66 cuda

what color was the center grille ,and did the center fish emblem come in different background colors?? and where can you get the paint,thanks jerry\\/

As far as I know, the center medallion background is supposed to be blue, and thats the only color it came in.

As for the center grille piece, when I was redoing my car (way back when) I had 3 different centers, so I decided to paint one body color, one the correct flatted black and one silver. In the end, the correct flat black one won the contest, as I am in the school of correctness. I am not sure of the exact protocol, but I believe that flat black was the choice for Formuls "S" cars, but others could have come with body color. Not an expert on this, but I like the flat black the best.

On your car however, since it is already black, I would probably go with body color!! Geof

I have 3 66 Barracudas and the color of the center grille is the same as the body color on all of them. I believe 65 are the same way.

If painting it blue doesn't turn out good there is blue vinyl background decal available. I saw it on ebay a few months ago but can't find it now.
