A year in my life...my birthday is October 5th

Okay lets start this by saying it was a very interesting year for me...I will be 48 years old on the 5th of October...I was born in 1962...

I quit smoking 4 years ago..I pounded on 20 plus pounds from eating junk and fast food..my wife had some blood work done and her colesterol and blood sugars were high...she and I both changed our eating habits and I started to exercise at work...lifting cases of beer and filling our storage towers...I lost 20 pounds..am at 178 now and wear 32 waist...she has gotten down to 116 pounds from 134...

On several ocassions this year she has told me the following...quote "all you ever do is work on your car" recently it has change to quote "all you ever want to do is work on your cars"...I don't complain about her sitting on the back porch, smoking, drinking her wine and talking on the telephone...I gave up smoking and found working on cars is very enjoyable...

I was told this year the following just recently...after some long love making....quote..."you are getting younger and I am getting older, you may have to find an 18 year old to do" WTF that came out of left field.

The lastest is...I found out that I am going to be a 48 year old grandfather.....my 22 year old daughter who still lives with us and I love very much got pregnant by her newest boyfriend...he wanted her to get an abortion and she told him no...OMG what drama there has been since last week..I am a Christian and don't believe in abortion...all I told her is that she was stupid for having non-protected sex and that I would support her...but I was not going to raise her child for her...she has to do that..she is still living with us and she can as long as she wants...the new family on the other side is divorced...the mom of the soon to be dad is trying to buy her way into my daughter's life and soon to be her grandchild also..they took her out for a 500 dollar shopping spree at the mall yesterday..I warned my daughter of it and she cried..I then told her again that she is 22 years old and she makes her own choices....OMG

Now some of the good things that happened to me...I sold my 340 roller motor and it set me up for a 440 in my dart....

I finshed the 440 installation and it WAB......

The last good thing to happen this year was I got the green light to buy another car...1977 Dodge Aspen R/T...original 21,000 miles...new wheels and all original paint and interior with some mods in the engine compartment and exhaust...

As for the wife, I have also been going down the same road as you regarding the comments of " You are always working on your car" or the old "All you care about is your car and the computer" My wife and I are trying out a new thing at Bible Study this year, we are both studying and reading the book titled "Love and Respect" by Dr Emerson Eggeriches. This book also has a workbook to study as well and it focuses around the christian values of a womans desire for the love she deserves and feels she is not receiving and the man's desire for the respect that he feels he is not receiving from the wife. So far so good, it has brought out a lot of things we would not normally talk about and it seems to be working. This book is a Focus on the Family book series and we got the book through our church bookstore. it may be worth a shot to consider. As for the grandkids situation, well I and my wife have custody of 2 of our Grandkids and have had them since they were babies and we are bringing both of them up. Step kids of mine, her kids from her first marriage, the parents of these children my stepson and stepdaughter probably will never get it together to be able to raise the kids on their own but we are trying to do what's right and raise them ourselves at our expense. It's not the kids fault for the parents inability to raise their own kids but hey what can you do. Nice looking Mopar you got there. hope this helps. Take care.

Happy birthday to you also..good advice on the book..I will look for it...I will read it and then pass it on to her...she also does not like being told to do something so I will offer the suggestion...I am very level headed and she is very high strung.....

way too much drama...lately...you talk about your headache...I have been hammered two days in a row by my old lady....lastest is that he is going to pay 1000 bucks a month...I told my daughter that it is still along ways off so we will see what gives...I still want to get the courts involved to make the arangements for child support and custody...she will learn that I am looking out for her best interests and the welfare of my first grandchild..

Damn straight... Theres nothing sorrier than a dead beat dad in my book.... My nephew is over 3k behind on child support, I've told my sister 100 times to let his azz sit in jail a month or two, that will change his way of thinking....

I agree 100%. If they can make em' then they should support them. My wife and I have nothing to do with our 26 yr old stepson who not only does not support his own child but dosen't even have the sense enough to send his own son a birthday card on his birthday. I mean, the Dollar Store sells cards for a buck!!! There is NO EXCUSE that this loser cannot even send his own kid a birthday card??? And he has 3 other children by three other women???? Does not support them either. He was NOT brought up that way but has chosen to live his life like a street rat punk. We have provided Child Support with his address and he somehow keeps avoiding getting caught. Screw him. And he is awaiting the birth of yet another kid and claims he is going to do the "Right Thing" with this one???? Yeah right!!! He seems to think he is father of the year if you read his Facebook page. I posted that he cannot even support hiss first born on his Facebook page and he deleted the post and blocked me from accessing his page. What a total waste of humanity he is.

Things have gotten quiet aroung here...thank God...I finally had to tell my wife that I didn't like her anymore...I didn't say that I hated her and I still love her but am sick and tried of how she speaks to me and treats me..on the lighter note the oldest daughter made this for my birthday...

Hate to hear the wife troubles, the main reason I divorced my second wife was I got custody of my son and she didn't treat him well, so out the door she went... Looks like your daughter spent some time on that little project... That was sweet of her....
