I grew up working in my Dad's gas station during the muscle car era. I saw lots of Dart Swingers and GTS, and plenty of Barracudas and Formula S. I don't remember ever seeing a 69 'cuda. Since I am in Canada, it got me wondering if it was a US only option. Anybody have any info?

On a quick check the "Cuda" option was available with 3 different engines.
A 340 version had a total production run of 666, 470 4 sp & 196 automatic.
A 383 version had a total production run of 462, 153 4 sp & 309 automatic.
A 440 version had a production run of 340 all automatic.
This is according to the 44magnum-network.com site You can see the breakdown here: http://www.440magnum-network.com/info/tech/1969barracudatotals.shtml
It shows the number of coupes, fastbacks & convertibles as well. They don't say where they all went so if the were US or export is not known.

In summer of 1969, I turned 16, and the only thing I had been and was noticing, was girls.Well, not girls exactly....But the next year, I noticed the AARs. My '57 shoebox, was on the shoe-list;well not shoe, exactly.

I think we all got a little distracted by the peaks and valleys at that age...

I was 14 when these cars came out, so maybe less distracted. Then again all my buddies were buying comic books and records and I was buying car magazines and models. The first time I ever remember seeing a 'cuda was when I started going to the Mopar Nationals in Columbus .

I was only 10 years old when they came out. By the time I was 14 I tried to buy my first Barracuda. A 1968 Formula S, mist blue metallic exterior , black interior 340 4 spd car.
