Here are some pics of a A833 I want to put into my car. I am going to rebuild it, but I am not sure if I need a couple new gears or if there is a way to recondition them. The trans supposedly came out of a running/driving car, but you never know. So let me know what you think . Pics are 2nd gear, 3rd gear, 4th gear.

You will need at least all new syncro,s,and 2nd and 3rd gear for sure,the 4th gear is a So/So deal,but for the price,I would change them,as you are getting a bearing set and its best to do it once right,then four times wrong,mrmopartech

just trying to learn here, what did you see on the gears, syncros that indicated an issue and they need to be changed?

the "teeth" on the syncros are rounded they should have more of a point to them.

When I did the swap, I took all of the internals to Jamie for him to inspect them. He indicated that I needed 3rd gear as it showed excessive teeth wear and it may start popping out of 3rd. Both 1st and 2nd gear were ok. Here are some pix of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in that order. Hope this helps. No pix of syncros as they were all ok.
