Does any body know the weight of a cast iron A833 and a aluminum A833

95ish for the Aluminum case and 125ish for the cast iron case. Although I will say that as I get older, they seem to get heavier. 30 or 40 years ago (I'm 66 now) I could lie on my back, place a tranny on my stomach and chest, crawl under the car and 'pop' the tranny into place. 15 years ago when I did the About to Manual conversion to my current 69 Barracuda, I bought a Transmission Jack.

I know the feeling I'm 59 so right behind you. My 250lb scale broke and I only have a 75lb scale and I know they weighted more than that. I used to do the same thing till about 10 years ago I almost dropped one on my head that got out of control. Then I made an adapter that bolts on my floor jack, much better!
Thanks for the info.

I just weigh a 1970 833 and on the scale it was 114lb

I would assume that the A body versions are a little lighter, but have never put one on a scale. Yep.... 48 and still able to lift one into place but don't know if I will again. With age comes wisdom, LOL.
