A904 Valve body question

Im working on the valve body for the a904 from my 1985 Jeep Cherokee.

When I took it apart the detent ball and spring for the rooster comb were laying on the valve body. Also notice there is no pin in the hole behind the spring. See picture.

It's been a while since I've done this, but I'm guessing a roll pin goes in there. Nothing noted in the ATG manual I have for this transmission.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

There is no pin that goes in that hole.
It’s only there for venting behind the ball so it can move freely.

Oldmanmopar, I did not. I'll be looking for one of those then.

I looked at some parts on Sonnex. There's supposed to be a pin in there.

Then look for the pin that fell out. Its has to be in there somewhere.

I have this funny feeling it's somewhere on my parts tray. I swear it was there.
