I am wanting some opinions on wether I really need to put an adjustable gear set that I can degree the cam with in my mild 360. I have always used the dot to dot method and let it roll. Is using a adjustable gear set that beneificial for my use? Pros? cons? Thanks.

Do you want it to run as intended?

I've seen timing sets as much as 8 degrees off one way or the other. You think a car runs bad at real straight up, try one that's 8 degrees retarded.

Degree it and be done, it takes one variable out of play if the engine runs poorly.

Three key way sets are under $50 IIRC
