Advice on radio delete plate for 72 Demon

I've been looking for a radio delete plate for my 72 Demon. I may have found one, but am not sure it will fit.

What I've found is a "full panel" radio delete plate from a 74 Dart. It has the cut out for the heater controls, but was molded without the opening for the radio.

Can anyone tell me if the heater controls for 72 models are the same size as 74? I'm concerned that the controls may be bigger or smaller, and not fit properly in the opening.

I have the small delete plate that covers only the radio area in my car.

You will have to drill a bunch of holes to mount that big panel if your car does not already have a similar one in place. (If it is bare painted metal like mine.)

Oh - and the heater controls do vary from year to year and style of dash. If you are not fussy about correctness, they are pretty easy to find, even these days.

The radio delete plate you have is for a 1973 and newer A-bodies and wont be correct for your 72. Too bad i dident see this eariler because i had a N.O.S 72 woodgrain radio delete applique i sold last week.
