Wanting to buy some new slicks and am confused with so many different compounds.Which is best?Soft/hard L? or DO?.What do you run and do they last 1 season,2 seasons?Any advise on compounds would be helpful in my choice.Thanks.

hi, compounds depend on whether its an manual trans, automatic, foot brake or trans brake. softer compounds are for the automatice usually. suspension comes into play also. hard compounds will last longer, yet might not hook car up with an automatic. need to call tire people, get straight answers.rim width also comes into play .burnout style will determine tire life also. just food for thought.

i ran the D06 compund on my ram. and i was able to get it to hook hard. my 5000 pound truck would cut a 1.66 short time. I had them for one season and would do huge burnouts (big enough that you could still see the cloud over the track after the pass was done and i was sitting at the timeslip booth) with them. i would guess that they would have lasted a 2nd season. the truck was wrecked and i was never able to find out how long they would last.

I run the MT ET Drag on my Dart Sport. Size 28 X 9-15 (15 X 8 rim with 4.5 back spacing) they are actually 27.3" tall and fit great. I can usually get 2 1/2 season's out of a set and they require minimal burnout and hook every time! I've tried Hoosier's and Phoenix, but none of them stand up as good as the MT's!!

I bought my last 4-5 sets from this ebay store. Never been disapointed! Excellent service!
