anybody replace their steering columns with after market ? If so does the mounting bracket fit the column shaft ok. I'm looking at a floor shift manual column. What about length , any does and don'ts.

Nice work. I had read that post before
There's a thread somewhere here that says that either Flaming River or IDIDIT was working on a Mopar floor shift column for A body cars. Try to search and see if you can find it. I thought they were close to coming out with it.

i used a flaming river column and welded tabs on to use the factory mounting bracket. i however do not like the column due to the terrible design of the ignition switch. i have never been able to start my car with the key. i installed a starter button for the time being. i will have to look at a different option on columns. flaming river has terrible customer service.
