Aftermarket Automatic Shifter (Console Mount)

Back in the dark ages (the 80's) I mounted a B&M Quick-click ratchet shifter in my console. It went in nicely, looked & worked great. I'd like to do something like that, but they don't make'em anymore & I don't want a crapped out old shifter.

Has anyone tried to mod a factory console & install a B&M Quicksilver View attachment QUICKSILVER.jpg or a Hurst Promatic 2? View attachment PROMATIC 2.jpg

What was involved & do you have any pictures of the completed console?

I had a 74 road runner with the factory floor shifter,i installed a B&M star shifter.Made a template out of cardboard and transferred it to the plate work great.Wish I had a better pic for ya.
