Anyone able to confirm if there are any sources for a full window replacement on a 1968 Barracuda Convertible, and/or if the ones listed on Classic Industries and other sites for the Fastback model will work?

Also, what is with the tinted (green tint) vs standard versions?

Convertible glass is specific to itself, same with notch and fastback. Body style specific.
That being said 67-9 cuda vert glass will work for you BUT you may need to swap the door guts as well. Many similarities between the 3 years and body styles, but LOTS of differences/quirks.
The green is simply the tinted version vs the clear/non tinted. Chk AMD for repop glass.

Thanks for the reply. I looked before asking and a full internet search yielded no convertible-specific glass. Looks like I'm stuck with the old stuff, with exception of a windshield. Might tint the side windows for appearance, but will determine after the build is done. 90% of it's use will be with the top down, so tinting a side window won't provide much function.

Place a want ad here, but shipping glass is a gamble. Windshields are available repop.

Here's who I used for replacement glass.

No issues and very well packaged. Freight for me was nuts but I'm a long ways from them.

Classic Auto Glass - Windshield Glass, Back Glass, Door Glass, Vent Window Glass and Quarter Window Glass - Plymouth Barracuda, 1964, 1965,1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69 - Catalog Product List Page

Tinted glass was usually specified for cars with air conditioning by keeping the interior cooler and reducing the demand on the air conditioning system .

The only glass they have for a convertible is the windshield and vent glass since they're the same as other models. The door and quarter glass are convertible only and AFAIK not reproduced.

I have shipped the door glass & 1/4 glass a couple times with no issues, just pack with cardboard in between each piece !That stuff is pretty tough,
I've purchased several pieces of OEM glass for my old Ford trucks from the same guy on eBay. Why? The first time I conversed with him he said that while they were pretty tough to begin with (vent windows), he tested his packaging by "throwing them out of the transom window of his cow barn", and if they didn't break, he knew he had Done Good.

Ya gotta love that!

Hey cudamark,

I saw on their website that they can cut glass as they have a lot of the patterns.

Have you been in contact with them?

I saw this on their website.

I must say I had a good experience dealing with them myself. Good pricing , great product, shipped on time and very, very well packaged.

".....Glass Finder

If you don't see your make and model or the glass you need, we may still be able to locate or cut the glass for you. Patterns are available from the 1920's thru the 1960's. We also have many NOS glass sources...."
