Hi, finally I've started my engine and the car is moving by itself and not by the human force :)

I'm struggling to select the right air cleaner (and not sure it will fit) in terms of design and the size of it.

I have Dodge Dart 1967, engine is Magnum 5.9L with the Edelbrock 1906 AVS2 Series Carburetor, maybe you can recommend some air cleaner package for me? something looks really cool and authentic, chrome maybe. any specific options and "where to buy" please?

thanks in advance!

I bought a cheapie chrome air cleaner and a 340 sticker for mine, nothing special, but I like it.

so where are you?
something with cold air
no help here
I have a 454 chevy pu ac on my dakota-just clears
ac base affects flow and some aftermarket are terrible
do a search

Mancini Racing Use there drop base with a OE/HP housing and filter. It also allows the MP ribbed unit to clear. I used this Wix filter pictures below. This filter is taller than the stock one by a little bit. It is possible to go a little higher. I found this at Summit Racing. They have a good search and to find the filter you want. Also odd diameters for the odd diameter MP filter housings.

Good job! It's always nice when you can move the car under it's own power. I put one of these fiberglass air cleaners on my Magnum in my '68 A-Body because of the tight hood to throttle body flange clearance.

Here's the link. About parts for Ram Air Box

At speeds above 25mph & especially on the freeway, it builds up significant pressure inside the cowl/inlets & air cleaner now. I verified this by opening one remaining underdash cowl vent(the passenger side was plugged by my GenIV Vintage Air evaporator). Air just blasts out of that vent, as does the intake sound from the engine, which my grandsons just adore.

Your air gap is going to create some issues for you. At least on my 68 barracuda it did. It is a bit higher and that creates hood clearance issues. Also the stock throttle cable bracket needs attention if you are using one. You can get a dropped base cleaner that will worK with pretty much any lid you want. One other tidbit you probably won’t need to know. If you go with the un-silenced 67-69 air cleaner housing at about 340 rwhp they become a restriction. You really only have about 5/8” gap at the bottom for air.

This one will work with a dropped base, but not sure it will clear HEI.
