Hey guys does anyone have a set of air shocks for a 72 duster that want to sell for cheap? My back end sits low and hoping a set of these will lift it up a little bit and help but dont want to spend 80 bucks for the shocks at the parts store for it to not work if it doesn't... Thanks guys!!

If you plan on street or dragging the car, air shocks will negatively affect your weight distribution, resulting in lower times. If you need tire clearance for a performance car, there are other way to gain that. If you are just looking for a hot rod stance, then go for it!

It sounds like you need SS springs, and long shocks, if you going to race. And, Please don't think I am trying to give you a hard time, cause I know what it's like to do a build on a budget..is it a V8 car, originally? Cause some of these cars have had a hard life. Just my 2 cents...

I would watch how far you try to lift the back end with air shocks. First it will make the car very stiff riding and second it will take the weight off of the leaf springs and puts it on the shock mounts. I know this because my car had them at one time (P.O. installed them) and as a result it ripped open the metal around the shock mount and I had to have it repaired. This also makes the car handle poorly especialy if you only have one valve with a tee to put air in. when you go around a turn air will be forced from one shock through the tee to the other shock causing a lot of body roll. You might try a set of coil over shocks. Good Luck

Yeah i thought about SS springs and shocks but was told it would lift it up alot but i plan on doing mini tubs and relocation the springs and if i do SS springs and shocks i would do that then. If i got the longer shocks for it would that lift it up? And yes its a original 318 car im pretty sure its all original except the motor its a 71 318 but the car was built February 12th 1972 but never looked into that mainly because i dont know where to look lol.

I've got a pair of air shocks that were on a 70 Dart. They worked fine when I took them off the car. $30 plus the shipping. I also have a pair of the shock extensions for another $10 if you need them.
