I replaced a instrument cluster light bulb behind the heat/AC controls in my 2006 Dakota yesterday. After plugging the center panel back in with the heat/AC controls, and airbag switch and starting the truck up, the airbag indicator light now stays on in the gauge cluster. I'm assuming this is because I unplugged the switch under the AC controls that disable it???

Any idea how to reset an airbag indicator light? Will disconnecting the battery for a while do it, or will I need to scan tool to reset it?

Thanks!

Some cars like to driven a short distance to switch them off. Otherwise try disconnecting the battery for a while which should always be done when working near air bag plugs they only need the smallest zap to set them off.

I'll try the battery when I get home. I just don't want to have to take it in and pay to have the light reset. Damn new cars. Lol
