We towed the boat down to Tablerock Lake and Lake of the Ozarks (MO) two weeks ago. Had a great time on and off the water and meeting up with relatives there. Last Friday on the ride home we took Rte 54 for the return trip to IL. On Rte 54 we got to Rte 61 when the chitt almost hit the fan.
So I’m towing my boat 60 mph on Rte 54 coming up on Rte 61, traffic is light, weather is clear, it’s around 1-1:30 PM. A couple pickups in the oncoming lane are stopping for me to pass so one or both can turn onto Rte 61. As I’m entering the intersection I notice this clown in the red car coming across the center line into my lane. What the hell is this guy thinking? :banghead::banghead: I swerved right a bit but I don’t know how the hell I missed him with the trailer. If that shoulder was soft I don’t know if I could have gotten out of it. This stuff can happen SO FAST!
I have a cheap cam in the Ram just to the right of the rearview mirror that was running and it recorded the incident. The time and date were not set for the trip. Here are some stills…………………

I have a dash cam I installed in my big truck. So many times when an accident happens, especially with big trucks, it get's blamed on us no matter.

I bought it and installed it to hopefully cover my keester in those events.
 
Idiot in the red car? Asshole is more like it!!!! Thats scary, texting or just being out and out numb.....if he had hit your boat trailer, he'da been wishing he was numb....
 
They way these self centered tards are i almost get into several non fault collisions every day.Everyone wants to be first.Like they are the only one trying ti get somewhere
 
On a local road they are wanting to lower the speed limit because of all the accidents. I say, if you can't drive you can wreck at any speed. That guy in the red car is an idiot!
