Well, I'm a few days from my 4-speed swap and have a few last questions:
1. ATF or gear oil? the OD i'm putting in has the remnants of ATF in it.
2. clutch/starter lockout? the thing that wont let the car start without the clutch pedal depressed. where does it go or how do I put one in? OR how do I make the Park/Neutral lockout from the 904 work with the 833
3. Will the column shift lever (automatic) come out if I just drive the drift pin out or is there something else I have to do?

ATF or gear lube works. I prefer 90 wt gear lube over ATF.

The safety switch is just a circuit completion switch. You can wire it in using the auto trans harness. The switch itself should be on the pedal assembly.

It's the switch on the right.

If the trans plug is good, pull the entire harness or cut it off a ways away from the plug and sell it. It's worth a few bucks.

Knock the pin out and the shift arm should come off

Cool, I have a spare brake light switch floating around that I can use. I suppose I should have thought of that by now, or at least before I put the pedals in :(
Thank you Sirs!

You don't need to use the auto trans harness , it just would connect to the starter relay where the wire from the auto trans harness connects . Or you can just connect that terminal on the relay directly to ground , thats how it was prior to 1970.
