Does anyone know if fullsize vans have different alternator brackets than an A-body??

My car has this absurd 20-30lb alternator that i want to to change out for the standard small style. And my local junkyard seems to only have late 70s-80s fullsize vans for mopar stuff.

usually they were the same as trucks, which is what im currently running in my early-A (aluminum water pump) im pretty sure the squareback alternator has its own mounts even if the vehicle has A/C as long as its the RV2 compressor. someone please chime in if im wrong. In the late 70s the sanden compressor was being phased in. ive seen them both ways in cars, separate mounts, and all one mount, and most trucks/vans didnt have A/C (at least the ones ive torn into) but its mopar...anythings possible. take lots of pictures!!!

It would help if we know what year your car/ engine are. If you have the large frame 105-larger amp alternator like this:

then you surely have the later water pump/ pulleys. I would think that a later pu/ van bracket would work, as long as you get "all" of it, IE the bracket, tensioner, spacers, etc.

I'm using "van stuff" on my 67, but then I did get it all out of a van, including pulleys.

Earlier round back, or later square back use the same mounting.

I have a 70 and up style sandlblasted and primed if you want $20 plus the ride.

Many sell the triangular bracket and tensioning strap on ebay for both SB and BB. I got a pretty chrome setup for ~$20 as I recall.

I recently bought a rebuilt 105 A alternator (that 67Dart273 links) on ebay. I just ran across it while browsing and only $45, so bit. I was surprised how big and heavy it is in person. I was expecting more like a Denso size. Not sure I will ever use it. Maybe on my C-body, though thatstays charged fine with the little round-back.

yeah i guess i should've been more specific. My car is a bit of mis-mash of parts. And yes, that giant brick of an alternator is what i have in my car.

Original engine(from when i bought it) was a late 70s 360. That engine died on me and a magnum 360 went in its place with a new parts store water pump for a 73 duster. And yes, using front cover off of that late 70s 360 so i could use the v-belts to get the car going on the cheap.
