What year of alternator do i need to get to have a internal voltage regulator???

88-90 or 91 Toyota four runner, about $45 from part store, you would have to buy the brackets or make them yourself like i did, love this alt, 60 amp holds 14.4 volts at idle with elec fuel pump, elec rad fan, radio, heater, lites, and turn signals.

I put the same alternator on mine and the results were the same. The only complaint I have with it is there is no beat for me to tap with my left foot when the headlights and the turn signal is on....

I am thinking of doing this also. How do you wire it? I would think the regulator is not used? I checked on the altenator today and they are available. Thinking it would go on the 66 wagon first.
