I believe you can rent them from American Autowire, otherwise might be worth considering a purchase, good tools stay with you forever!

I know the tool you want, I have to wonder if they ever show up on Evilbay for a fair price used?? Sorry but I do not have one.

Wow, Geez, if anyone was ever going to "Loan" you one i wouldn't let one go out of my hands without a $150.00 deposit on one.
If you want to use one that bad, bite the bullitt and go buy one.

I have a Klein Tools? or Tool Aide version with swappable jaws I really like. it was nowhere near 150.00 and does a great job on everything from 22awg to ignition leads.

Hi there. Are you using a American Auto Wire Kit? What model car are you wiring?

Moser electric sells the tools. Usually better prices than most outlets. Find out what the Delphi number is on the tools. I bought them to do weatherpacks, etc.

You can't use the cheaper ratchet crimpers on some of the terminals. Just depends on the ends that need termination.

I'd loan you a tool for a day, no chance on 6 months... I'd need them in that time frame for sure then I'm SOL.

Yes that's what I use the Delphi tools. Bought them in kits with the weather packs. Got to love those weather packs.

I forget the model, I'll check tomorrow. Yes, you crimp the wire and insulation grip separately. It came with directions for which slots you use for different gauge wire.

Thanks Dan, you can even see in my set the amount of clearance(too much) with the jaws closed. It ends up putting "tabs" on the terminals. They should be tighter. Mine came with instructions as well. Sucks as they feel like a quality ratchet set but the open barrel crimps are terrible.

Those W style crimps are pretty tricky. You have to line everything up perfect and you will need to practice on a handful of connectors first.
