ammeter deletion question

I'm putting a new dash insert in my 74 and I want to do away with the ammeter. I have three wires on one post{2 #10, one #6}, and one #6 on the other post.I want to get verification that all of these wires get "tied together" to work properly, correct?:-\"

You join all the leads to the Ammeter. Might be better to do that in addition to what's suggested here. It's what I'll be doing soon:

thanks again. I'm trying to put all my sport comp gauges in the dash, I used an old dash panel and made an insert for it. Now I'm at the point where the old is out and the "new" is going in,,,,,,,,,,hoping everything works
