Another Frankencar

-
Although all swappable, it still has the 66 front clip, taillights, and fish trim under the back window. Could be that the 65 dash was swapped in? I'd be interested in seeing how the vin tag is attached.

It looks like 64/65 lower quarters on it probly cause that's all that was available to them for rust repair, every thing else except dash and shifter look like 66.

Looks like at one time somebody took two cars (a '65 unibody and most of the rest of a '66) and made one. Probably just because that's what they had on hand, not trying to cheat anybody.

Not much good for The resto crowd; but a good base for a street machine!

I asked the owner a question and they never responded so I would be very leary of the VIN being swapped to this car. In the email I told them it is 65 1/4 panels, dash, shifter etc but a 66 VIN front clip and bumpers.

I did the same thing with the same result. I also asked for a photo of the fender tag and build sheet but still no response....... :bs:

Jeez......that things over $1300 with a lot of time left. Too bad E-bay no longer posts the bidders user name. I used to warn people about nonsense like this. Maybe that's why they no longer post them!

Heck Ebay is done as far as my purchases and sales. I had a bad experience with a guy I bought from in Feb. I left him a negative feedback and next thing I know is there are bids on 3 items I have for sale. He sent an email threatening me to the effect of YOU WILL NEVER SELL ON HERE AGAIN AHOLE ! I check the feedback on 2 of the bidders and see it had 12 only from walker auto so he is using those to shill bid his own items. I turn it over to EBAY for the threat and shill bidding he is doing. Guess what nothing was done he is still doing it and people are paying more because of it. That tells me they care more about the buck than making it a fair place to shop.

i asked about the "other" title, never rec'd a response.

did anyone receive a response from this item? Lawrence

Nope it was like talking to a wall no answer either way. I feel for the guy that buys it and has trouble because of a VIN swap.
