So I took my wife for a ride in my dart for the first time since I got it running again. I was getting on it pretty good, after we got home she turned to me and asked how fast do u think it is. To tell u the truth I don't have any idea I told her. I used to think maybe in the 13s ??? But I have'nt had it down the track yet. She only asked how fast I thought it was because a friend of ours has a mustang he says runs 12's when it's running. I have'nt seen it run yet, but maybe this summer. So anyway if u feel like sharing your input here it goes. My car is a 68 dart with a small block 392 stroke engine. It's a 318 with a 40 over bore, 4 inch scat crank, scat I beams, forged icon dished 23 pistons, rhs heads with 2.02 intake, headers, 2.5 exhaust, xe284h cam, hughes roller rockers, small 162 b@m supercharger, 750 double pumper, mp distributor and orange box, 4 speed, 3:55 gears. ss springs. I know getting it to hook up and go strait are all key to getting a good time, but this is just assuming it does. I know it's not the fastest car or the best combo, I'm just curious.

You're in Colorado. Where will you be racing? Elevation needs to be considered

With a blower at elevation, that should be a high 400 hp engine is my guess.

Probably in the 11's somewhere it it hooks and at least 113-116 mph.

He does have some boost on his side to offset the effect.....

....and either way, throw some picts up! Different is cool!

High 11's if it hooks well and you shift good, high 12's are more probable though.

For comparisons sake, when I lived in Colorado I ran a Eddy headed 360 on nitrous. On a 150 shot it ran 11.5 @ 116mph...on a 180 shot it ran 11.1 @ 121mph. I wouldn't think the blower adds more than 125hp, so that's where I'm coming up with my guesstimate on ET...but hey, you won't know till you try it out :). Good luck.

I agree..... boost is boost... and 6 lbs of boost is 6 lbs. of boost no matter the elevation.

Well , yeah.........kind of , sort of.
Oxygen content has to be considered.
It will minimize the effect of altitude , but there is still a difference.
You get less oxygen , you want less fuel and no matter how much you pressurize it , you make less power.
